Beach Fossils

I found two fossils at Dominion Beach! They were on a big hill of rocks in the middle of the beach.

One fossil is a piece of a tree and the other has two clam shells. I know it's a bit of a tree because the lines look like bark.

When this tree lived (in the Carboniferous Period) it was swampy, warm and humid. The climate and habitat were not very nice! The animals at this time were amphibians and insects and very strange!

We also found two clams. I don't know any information about why they're in the same line.
